VP Alupo meets Irish PM, rallies for investment in Uganda

On the sidelines of the UNGA77 High-Level week in New York, H.E the Vice President has held a bilateral meeting with the Irish Prime Minister, Michael Martin.

The two leaders renewed their countries’ bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen their cooperation.

H.E the Vice President expressed her appreciation towards the work done by the Government of Ireland in different areas, where she highlighted  Education, Health, trade, tourism and investment, support of refugee programs social protection and governance.

The Vice President highlighted the need to deepen economic and commercial ties where-in she highlighted investment opportunities in Afro-processing of coffee, tea, dairy and livestock, fruits, among others.

The Vice President further called upon Ireland to support Uganda’s regional efforts in conflict prevention and resolution.

Alupo will hold several other meetings with different leaders to drum up more investment portfolios for Uganda.
